We don't provide welfare or ongoing handouts to people long term. Rather we provide people with safe and secure accommodation at a rent they can afford. The Society owns more than 195 units and houses throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area that it rents to people on lower incomes at rents below market rates.
We are continuing to expand our service through a carefaully planned process of development.

The Adelaide Benevolent Society takes referrals for new tenants from our partner organisations and works closely with other service providers to ensure tenants can access the assistance they need to get their lives back on track.
Potential tenants are assessed on a needs basis and against financial criteria set by the Society.
Some of our properties are available through the NRAS (National Rental Affordability Scheme). This is a long term commitment by the Australian government in partnership with the states and territories to invest in affordable rental living. NRAS has been introduced to help low and moderate income households to rent accommodation at an affordable price.
To apply for assistance from the Adelaide Benevolent Society you need to download and complete the NRAS Registration form.
Please note: when you are completing this form, the Society only has the properties as listed above. Post your completed form to 17 Morialta Street Adelaide SA 5000.
