For over 160 years the Adelaide Benevolent Society has provided small grants and assistance to help South Australians in need.

The Bill Cossey AM Grants Program was established to honour the memory of Bill Cossey, a former Board Member of the Adelaide Benevolent Society, whose distinguished career in Government and private enterprise was always combined with contributing to the community.

The Bill Cossey AM Grants Program endeavours to assist clients to regain control of their household budget or stabilise their housing situation. Managing financial obligations on a low income is challenging and financial assistance can make a significant difference in the lives of financially vulnerable South Australians.

The Adelaide Benevolent Society ONLY accepts applications - on behalf of individuals and families - from financial counsellors and support workers employed by recognised agencies.

    Donations made to the Adelaide Benevolent Society are used to provide financial assistance to people in need and to assist us in providing affordable housing for needy South Australians.

    All donations are gratefully received and if over $2.00 are deductible and a receipt provided.

  • Bequests

    Bequests made to the Adelaide Benevolent Society are used to build more affordable housing for needy South Australian families. Giving people a home meets one of the most basic of human needs - shelter.

    By leaving the Adelaide Benevolent Society a legacy in your Will you will change the lives of many people.
